This movement is capable of running larger hands, especially larger sweep hands. The continuous movement stops "wobble" of the longer minute hand. The extended minute hand shaft reduces the the possibility of the long hands binding or rubbing together during the operation of the clock. Uses 1 C cell for longer battery life and better appearance. We do NOT recommend using a sweep hand as it draws power away from the hour and minute hands.
